The inherent key concept of ‘The Other’ is a core of my artwork. The framework of the Home-Land-Body-Scape on-going art projects involve thoughts, and notions of habitat and nomadism, which drives me to action. In order to explore, define and communicate, I question the meanings of ‘Othering’.
My work as a projects artist extends from photography and photo collage to video work. from the physical to the digital medium and characterized by a hybrid syntax.
I usually develop my works in series. Recently, a digital photo collage series on quality etching print paper, that strike out with surprising and thought provoking synthesis. All of the creations evolve from combining iconic, historic and contemporary original images, influenced by a variety of cultures. I take these actions to distance myself from the multiplicity of fast-paced happenings in the here and now, I allow myself a perspective and allegorical point of view. The hybrid result is sometimes a tribute and always an expression of human interaction.
